We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Audit Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• To support the audit department by assisting in reviewing financial transactions, testing internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards within the healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting routine internal audits, financial reviews and operational assessments
• Verify financial transactions, vouchers, and accounting records to ensure accuracy, proper documentation and compliance
• Examine internal controls and identify areas of potential risk or operational leakages
• Prepare clear and concise audit working papers and draft reports
• Follow up on the implementation of previous audit recommendations to ensure corrective actions are taken
• Evaluate compliance with healthcare sector guidelines, statutory tax laws and internal policies

Requirement and Qualifications

• Education; Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, or other related fields
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in audit, accounting or financial operations, strictly within the health sector

Competencies & Skills:

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and basic audit methodologies.
• Familiarity with healthcare billing systems, medical claims tracking or hospital inventory workflow is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and objective thinking
• High level of personal integrity and confidentiality
• Proficiency in accounting packages and Microsoft Excel
