Garki Hospital Abuja is an indigenous Organisation providing health care services within the Abuja metropolis and environs.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Auditor 

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• To evaluate internal controls, assess risk management processes and ensure financial and operational compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on comprehensive internal audit assignments across departments
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems
• Review financial records, ledgers, transactions and operational procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies, or financial risks and formulate practical recommendations for management
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective action plans
• Prepare clear, objective, and timely internal audit reports for executive management and the Board
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required
• Any other duties that may be assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education; Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc/HND) in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics or other related fields
• Professional Certification: Must be a Chartered Accountant
• Post – Qualification Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant post –qualification experience as a Chartered Accountant, with a strong background in internal auditing
• Added Advantages: Possession of MBA or MSC in related field

Competencies & Skills:

• Strong Knowledge of Internal audit standards, risk-based auditing, and financial reporting
• High level of integrity, professional ethics and independence
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report – writing skills
• Proficiency in training software, Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools
