Junior Accountant

We are seeking to hire a Junior Accountant to join our organization. The ideal candidate should have 0–2 years of accounting experience and be eager to build a successful career in accounting and finance. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated individual who is willing to learn, contribute to the finance team, and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare and file statutory tax returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.) and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Monitor cash flow and support budget preparation.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting 
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and Nigerian tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
