Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite

Description

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Accountant to join a finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including month-end adjustments.
• Reconcile HMO claims, patient receivables, and corporate accounts.
• Reconcile vendor payables, petty cash, and bank transactions.
• Monitor daily financial transactions across departments.
• Support financial reporting, budget preparation, and audit activities.
• Liaise with HMO partners to resolve discrepancies and facilitate timely payments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with medical billing, HMO claims reconciliation, and payables management is essential.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software, preferably Sage ERP or hospital management systems.
• Strong analytical skills, numerical accuracy, and attention to detail.
• ICAN or ACCA certification, or progress towards either, is an advantage.
