Job Title: Live-In Chef
Location: Isolo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
About the role
- We're looking for an experienced, dependable chef to join a household in Isolo, Lagos on a live-in basis.
- Accommodation is provided, Alongside cooking, the role includes basic household chores.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks as needed), including intercontinental dishes (Continental, Asian, Italian, Mediterranean, etc.) and Nigerian favourites
- Plan weekly menus around the household's tastes and dietary needs
- Buy or list groceries and ingredients, and manage the kitchen stock within an agreed budget
- Keep the kitchen, utensils, appliances, fridge and pantry clean, organised and hygienic
- Carry out basic household chores, such as washing dishes, tidying common areas, taking out refuse and light cleaning
- Follow food safety and storage practices at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a home, private or professional chef
- Strong skills in intercontinental cuisine, plus Nigerian dishes
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safe handling
- Willing to live in and take on light household duties
- Honest, discreet, punctual, neat and respectful
- Able to work independently and manage time well
- Verifiable references (a food handler's certificate is an advantage)
Working arrangement:
- Live-in, with room provided
- Working days, hours and off days to be agreed (e.g. one day off per week)
