Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and skilled Male Chef to manage food preparation and kitchen operations for employees and guests within an automobile manufacturing company.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing hygienic, nutritious, and well-presented meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and kitchen safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of local and continental meals according to required menus.
• Plan daily meals and assist with menu development.
• Ensure food is prepared and served on schedule.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
• Manage kitchen ingredients, supplies, and stock levels.
• Monitor food portions and minimize wastage.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and promptly report faults or maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with kitchen assistants and other support staff.
• Maintain accurate records of food supplies and kitchen inventory.
• Prepare meals for employees, management, and company guests when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a corporate, industrial, hotel, or similar environment.
• Certificate or qualification in Catering, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian and continental cuisine.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation.
• Ability to prepare meals for a large number of people.
• Good knowledge of kitchen equipment and safe operating practices.
• Ability to manage food supplies, portions, and kitchen inventory.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet meal schedules.
• Basic practical knowledge of engineering and safe operation of kitchen equipment is required.
• Good communication skills, reliability, discipline, and attention to detail.
