We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Purpose 

• To provide accurate management accounting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, cost monitoring and operational reporting to support effective business decisions.
• The role supports monthly financial close, cost control, management reporting, internal controls and business partnering across the agricultural, factory and support operations at GSC Sunti. 

The Job   

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts in line with reporting timelines. 
• Support the monthly financial close, including accruals, provisions, prepayments, inventory adjustments and balance-sheet reconciliations. 
• Analyse financial performance, variances, trends and cost drivers to support management decision-making. 
• Prepare and analyse annual budgets, rolling forecasts and Latest Estimates in collaboration with department heads. 
• Prepare monthly Budget vs Actual and Latest Estimate analysis, with clear explanations of significant variances. 
• Analyse agricultural/cane production costs and factory/sugar processing costs, including key cost drivers and trends. 
• Monitor workshop and maintenance overheads and provide cost analysis by relevant department/work centre. 

Qualification

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field. 
• Membership in ICAN, ACCA, ACA or CIMA. 

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' cognate experience preferably in manufacturing/FMCG 
• Experience in agricultural accounting or cost accounting is an added advantage. 

The Person Must: 

• Strong analytical and numerical skills. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or equivalent ERP system is essential. 
• Strong Excel skills and financial modelling capability are essential. 
• Sound understanding of budgeting, cost control, management accounting and financial analysis. 
• Good understanding of agricultural, manufacturing and operational cost accounting. 
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
