Media and Visibility Lead

Job Title: Media and Visibility Lead

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

The Role

• As our Media and Visibility Lead, you own everything ZIDA puts in public: capturing it, planning it, publishing it and pitching it to the press. You are the hub of our media team. You work Monday to Friday (On site) 9am to 5pm.
• This is a hands-on producer role. You will shoot and publish daily, and you will write well enough to get ZIDA into the press.

What You Will Do

• Capture: Photograph and film classes, studio sessions, student work, facilitators, site visits and events, and keep an organised library of raw photos and footage.
• Plan and publish: Build the monthly content calendar, work withour Graphic Designer, and schedule approved content in Metricool across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Edit: Turn captured footage into reels, TikToks, class recaps and student stories.
• Pitch the press: Build a media list, write press releases and pitch stories such as graduation, travel series, workshops, accreditation and student achievements. Track every feature and mention.
• Build founder visibility: Plan and run filming sessions for the Director’s personal content and find speaking, interview and article opportunities.
• Report: Send a weekly report every Friday covering posts published, reach, engagement, enquiries, press activity and the plan for next week.

What You Bring
You must have:

• 2+ years running social media content for a brand, school or agency, with a portfolio of real work
• Confident photography and video capture with a camera and phone, including lighting and audio basics
• Short-form editing skills in CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar
• Clear written English for captions, briefs and press releases
• Working knowledge of a scheduling tool such as Metricool
• Reliability, punctuality, and comfort with being measured on weekly output

It’s a plus if you have:

• Experience with design, interiors, architecture, education or lifestyle brands
• Existing contacts with Nigerian media, blogs or design publications
• Experience briefing designers or video production vendors

This is not the role for:

• Strategists who plan but do not produce
• Candidates who cannot be on-site in Abuja daily.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 per month.
