Workforce Group - Our client, a leading financial institution in the banking sector, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Merchant Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

About the role

  • The Merchant Officer will drive field acquisition and activation of merchants within an assigned territory, with a focus on supermarkets and other qualifying ethical businesses.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and onboard qualified merchants within the assigned territory
  • Complete KYC and all required documentation
  • Deploy and activate point-of-sale terminals
  • Drive merchant transaction usage and monitor merchant activity
  • Support merchant account opening

Requirements

  • HND or B.Sc.
  • Willingness to work in the field daily and meet targets
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in sales, merchant acquisition, POS/fintech, or banking is an advantage.
