Job Description

• We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, creative, and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee daily business operations, coordinate event logistics, manage resources, and ensure seamless execution of events.
• The ideal candidate must combine strong operational and leadership skills with a keen eye for aesthetics, décor design, and creative event presentation. They should be capable of developing visually appealing mood boards, preparing professional client proposals, and using digital design and AI tools to improve creativity and operational efficiency.
• This role requires someone who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution while maintaining the high standards of luxury, creativity, and professionalism associated with King of Events.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management & Coordination:

• Manage day-to-day business operations, ensuring efficient workflows and coordination across departments.
• Plan and coordinate event logistics, including vendor management, equipment rentals, staff scheduling, transportation, and operational requirements.
• Supervise event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure alignment with client expectations and company standards.
• Oversee inventory management for décor materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Implement operational procedures, quality standards, and health and safety protocols.
• Monitor operational budgets, project timelines, and resource utilisation.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and service delivery.

Event Planning, Décor & Creative Support:

• Demonstrate a strong eye for décor aesthetics, colour combinations, event styling, and luxury design concepts.
• Contribute creative ideas and design recommendations for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and other luxury celebrations.
• Develop visually appealing mood boards and event concept presentations that communicate proposed themes, colours, décor elements, and overall event experiences.
• Prepare professional, well-structured client proposals, presentations, and event concept documents.
• Use Canva, PowerPoint, and AI-powered creative tools to develop mood boards, presentations, design concepts, and other client-facing materials.
• Collaborate with the CEO, Project Manager, and creative vendors to ensure approved event concepts are accurately translated into execution.
• Stay informed about emerging event design trends, luxury décor concepts, and creative presentation techniques.

Vendor, Client & Team Management:

• Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors, suppliers, venues, and service providers.
• Coordinate procurement, vendor quotations, and contract negotiations within approved authority.
• Liaise with clients and internal team members to ensure clear communication and timely delivery.
• Coordinate event staff, temporary personnel, and external service providers.
• Support staff onboarding, administrative coordination, and operational performance reviews.
• Resolve operational challenges promptly to minimise disruptions to event delivery.

Reporting & Performance Management:

• Maintain accurate operational records, vendor databases, inventory reports, and event documentation.
• Track assigned tasks, deadlines, deliverables, and operational performance indicators.
• Provide regular progress updates and operational reports to management.
• Identify potential risks, delays, and resource shortages and escalate them promptly.
• Use company-approved digital tools and task management systems to document activities, report completed work, and support performance monitoring.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Event Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations management, preferably within the events, hospitality, or creative industries.
• Proven experience coordinating event logistics, vendors, resources, and operational teams.
• Strong organisational, leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• A keen eye for luxury event décor, aesthetics, colour coordination, styling, and creative design.
• Ability to create attractive, professional mood boards, client proposals, and event presentations.
• Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft PowerPoint for creative presentations and proposal development.
• Practical knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT or other AI-powered design and productivity platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Knowledge of Lagos event venues, vendors, suppliers, and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work evenings, late hours, and Sundays when required for events.
• Additional flexibility may be required for event preparation, execution, and other operational responsibilities.

Salary
N300,000 Monthly.
