Job Title: Procurement & Inventory Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

• We are seeking a responsible and experienced Procurement & Inventory Officer to oversee procurement activities and conduct daily stock and inventory checks at our construction site.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit the construction site daily to monitor and take stock of materials and supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of materials received, issued, and remaining on site.
• Monitor material usage and identify shortages, excesses, or discrepancies.
• Coordinate the procurement of materials based on site requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery.
• Verify delivered materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Work closely with the Site Engineer, Storekeeper, and Project Team to ensure proper material control.
• Prepare regular procurement and inventory reports for management.
• Ensure proper documentation and accountability for all materials purchased and used on site.

Requirements

• HND or B.Sc. Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience in site procurement, stock control, or construction inventory management.
• Good knowledge of construction materials and suppliers.
• Strong record-keeping and Excel skills.
• Good negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be willing to visit the construction site daily and work closely with site personnel.
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of identifying discrepancies in stock and material usage.
