Job Position: Senior Risk & Business Operations Analyst

Job Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting To: Principal Partner / CEO

About the Role


  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk & Business Operations Analyst to lead credit-risk
  • evaluation, strengthen operational processes, and support executive decision-making.
  • The successful candidate will conduct detailed assessments of customer records and issue loan offers only after full evaluation and verification, and strictly after the Principal Partner has granted approval in principle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced credit assessments using financial statements, credit bureau
  • Reports, bank records, physical visits when necessary, and verification data.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit evaluation reports for review and approval in principle by the Principal Partner/CEO.
  • Issue formal loan offers to qualified customers after full evaluation and upon receiving approval in principle.
  • Enhance and oversee operational workflows across loan origination, underwriting, disbursement, and recovery.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and operational KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with CBN regulations, KYC/AML standards, and internal credit policies.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal/external audits.
  • Identify emerging risks and recommend strategic mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with collections, finance, customer service, and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage the activities of loan/sales agents and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to loan agents and operational staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in credit risk, lending operations, or financial-services risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, or other data-analysis tools.
  • Deep understanding of Nigerian lending practices, credit-bureau systems, fraud-risk patterns, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in digital lending or microfinance.
  • Familiarity with risk-scoring engines or loan-management systems.
  • Strong process-optimization and operational leadership capabilities.
