Job Role & Responsibilities
Lead and supervise field engineering teams in the installation, integration, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of telecommunications network equipment.
Provide technical leadership for Ericsson RAN, BTS, Radio and Baseband installation and integration activities.
Coordinate Ericsson M-MIMO deployments, ensuring proper equipment installation, cabling, configuration, integration, testing, and site readiness.
Supervise BTS and radio equipment installation in accordance with approved Ericsson standards, Method Statements, and customer specifications.
Lead the installation and integration of transmission links across Huawei Microwave, E-Band, Ericsson MINI-LINK, Aviat, and Nokia platforms.
Provide technical support for transmission link alignment, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and integration with the existing network.
Conduct and supervise Technical Site Surveys (TSS) to assess site readiness, equipment requirements, power availability, transmission paths, installation requirements, and potential implementation constraints.
Review site survey findings and prepare accurate technical reports, photographs, measurements, and recommendations for project planning and execution.
Carry out and support SRS testing and other required site verification and acceptance activities.
Ensure all installation, integration, testing, and commissioning activities comply with customer technical requirements and approved project standards.
Take ownership of technical and quality issues arising during site implementation and ensure timely resolution and closure.
Utilize EriTop for EHS compliance monitoring, quality audits, site inspections, documentation, and tracking of project deliverables.
Ensure strict compliance with HSE/EHS requirements, including proper use of PPE, safe working practices, toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and adherence to site safety procedures.
Conduct quality inspections to verify equipment installation, cable dressing, grounding, labeling, antenna/RF installation, transmission installation, and overall workmanship.
Identify installation defects and coordinate corrective actions to ensure sites meet customer quality and acceptance requirements.
Provide on-site technical guidance and troubleshooting support to field engineers and technicians during installation and integration activities.
Coordinate with project managers, customer representatives, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve site, technical, and logistical challenges.
Monitor daily team activities and project progress against agreed deployment schedules and milestones.
Prepare and maintain accurate site reports, progress updates, quality documentation, test results, and other project records.
Use Microsoft Excel for project tracking, team activity monitoring, site status updates, data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
Mentor and guide resources such as Riggers and technicians, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and adherence to approved installation practices.
Escalate critical technical, safety, quality, material, or access issues that may impact project delivery.
Support site acceptance and handover activities, ensuring all punch-list items, documentation, and quality requirements are completed before closure.
Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, tools, equipment, and other project resources while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Requirements
Ericsson M-MIMO Deployment: Hands-on experience in the installation, integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Ericsson M-MIMO solutions.
Ericsson Radio & Baseband: Technically proficient and familiar with Ericsson Radio Units, Baseband equipment, configuration, installation, and integration processes.
Ericsson BTS Installation & Deployment: Experienced in BTS equipment installation, integration, commissioning, and site implementation.
Transmission Link Installation & Integration: Hands-on experience with Huawei Microwave (MW), E-Band, Ericsson MINI-LINK, Aviat, and Nokia transmission solutions.
EHS & Quality Management: Proficient in the use of EriTop for EHS compliance monitoring, quality audits, site inspections, and project documentation.
SRS Testing: Working knowledge of SRS testing procedures and related site verification activities.
Technical Site Survey (TSS): Experienced in conducting technical site surveys, assessing site readiness, identifying implementation requirements, and preparing site survey reports.
Microsoft Excel: Proficient in Microsoft Excel for project tracking, reporting, data analysis, documentation, and monitoring of field activities.
