Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage the financial records and day-to-day accounting operations of a hair salon located in Lekki Phase One, Lagos.
• The ideal candidate should have practical accounting experience, preferably within a salon, beauty, hospitality, or retail business, and be familiar with daily sales reconciliation, expense tracking, inventory records, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of daily income, expenses, customer payments, and other financial transactions, ensuring proper documentation and accountability.
• Reconcile daily sales from salon services and hair product sales across cash, bank transfers, POS, and other payment channels.
• Prepare daily sales summaries, monthly income and expenditure reports, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports for management.
• Monitor operating expenses, cash flow, vendor payments, and outstanding receivables while supporting effective cost control.
• Track inventory records for hair products and salon supplies, reconcile stock movements with sales records, and report discrepancies.
• Support payroll preparation, statutory deductions, budgeting, and financial compliance while maintaining an organized filing system for invoices, receipts, bank statements, and other accounting documents.
• Maintain an organized filing system for invoices, receipts, bank statements, and other financial documents.
• Identify accounting discrepancies, irregularities, or unusual transactions and report them promptly to management.

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 1–4 years of relevant accounting experience, depending on demonstrated competence.
• Experience in a hair salon, beauty business, spa, hospitality establishment, or retail environment is strongly preferred.
• Practical knowledge of daily sales reconciliation, expense management, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or other relevant financial management tools.
• Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Residing in or around Lekki Phase One, Lekki, Victoria Island, or nearby areas is a strong advantage.

Professional Certification:

• ICAN or another recognized professional accounting qualification is not compulsory.
• However, candidates currently pursuing ICAN, ACCA, or another relevant professional certification will be an advantage.
