Job Title: Land Surveyor

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

• Site Analysis & Preparation:
  • Conduct topographic and geodetic surveys to assess terrain and existing infrastructure.
  • Identify and mark boundaries, easements, and right-of-way areas.
• Data Collection & Interpretation:
  • Use GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments to gather accurate spatial data.
  • Interpret survey data to produce maps, plans, and reports for engineers and project managers.
• Construction Support:
  • Set out reference points and markers to guide construction crews.
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure alignment with design specifications.
• Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure all surveying activities comply with local regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of measurements, site conditions, and changes.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, architects, and construction teams.
• Communicate findings, ensure accurate site planning and update clearly to stakeholders.
• Measure land and property boundaries using specialized equipment like GPS, total stations, and theodolites.
• Conduct site surveys to gather data for construction, engineering, and mapping projects.
• Create detailed maps, charts, and reports based on survey results.
• Verify legal property lines and help resolve boundary disputes.
• Maintain records and documentation of survey data and project progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying and Geomatics.
• Professional certification will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in surveying instruments and software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
