We are a Nigerian construction and real estate development company under Ultimus Holdings. The company provides construction and property development services, including building design, project management, construction supervision, renovation, interior architecture and design, and facility management. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Architect

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary
Day-to-Day Site Supervision:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities across the project site.
  • Monitor the performance of subcontractors, artisans, and site personnel to ensure compliance with the work programme and required quality standards.
  • Plan daily and weekly activities in line with project milestones.
  • Identify site constraints, delays, and construction challenges, escalating issues requiring management or consultant intervention.
  • Maintain effective site discipline, housekeeping, and coordination of work fronts.

Structural Works Monitoring:

  • Supervise and monitor structural construction activities, including reinforcement fixing, formwork, concrete placement, blockwork, and related building works, as applicable.
  • Check executed works against approved structural drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate inspections and obtain the required approvals from the structural engineer before critical activities, including concrete pours.
  • Identify defects, discrepancies, and deviations and promptly refer technical matters to the responsible structural engineer.
  • Ensure that structural works are not progressed beyond designated inspection points without the required approvals.

Architectural Works Supervision:

  • Supervise architectural works, including masonry, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, painting, ceilings, doors, windows, and other finishes as applicable
  • Ensure materials, workmanship, dimensions, levels, and finishes comply with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Review architectural drawings and details to identify inconsistencies and resolve site execution issues with the relevant consultants.
  • Monitor quality, identify defects, and ensure corrective works are completed promptly.
