Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and analyses on patient specimens, including blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily fluids, using manual and automated techniques and equipment.
• Prepare and handle patient samples, following established procedures for sample collection, processing, labeling, and storage to ensure accuracy, integrity, and traceability of specimens.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance procedures to verify the accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results
• Analyze test results, interpret findings, and prepare reports or summaries for review
• Maintain laboratory safety protocols and standards, including proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials, adherence to infection control measures, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with laboratory management and administration on budgeting, inventory management, and procurement of supplies, reagents, and equipment.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and empathy in all interactions with patients and colleagues, maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient rights and privacy.

Requirements

•  Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3-15 years experience.
