We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Research Analyst

Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract (6 Months with option to extend subject to performance)
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Role

  • We are seeking a curious and analytically rigorous Research Analyst to support research, market intelligence, and insights generation across energy sectors.
  • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving deep into complex topics, is comfortable using AI and automation tools to improve research
  • efficiency, and is eager to produce actionable intelligence that drives decision-making in a dynamic environment.
  • The Research Analyst will work directly with an external Partner in the climate tech / finance sector to deliver comprehensive market analyses, competitive intelligence, and strategic recommendations. You'llcombine analytical thinking with thorough research execution — producing high-quality insights.

Responsibilities
Research & Analysis:
Conduct in-depth research across energy sectors with a focus on data centers, and other emerging energy technologies.

  • Collect and analyze data on energy sector investment trends, project deployment, supply chains, and commercialization pathways.
  • Synthesize complex information from multiple sources into clear, actionable summaries.
  • Stay on top of the latest trends and advancements in energy technologies and integrate these insights into research frameworks and reports.

Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Convert complex data and research findings into actionable frameworks and strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain research repositories with proper documentation of sources and findings.

AI & Automation:

  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or others) to enhance research productivity and data synthesis.
  • Recommend and implement research tools that improve efficiency and insight quality.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work cross-functionally with different teams to understand research needs and support business priorities.
  • Present findings clearly and persuasively through written reports and presentations.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Environment / Climate, or other Sciences
  • 3+ years of experience in a research role or relevant experience gained in the energy related industry
  • Research experience or strong interest in energy sectors, particularly data centers and emerging power generation technologies and/or data center development.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with data entry, research, or project tracking
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable using AI and automation tools
  • Familiarity with Google Sheets/Excel and research methodologies.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks/projects with minimal supervision.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow.

Salary
N400,000 - N600,000 monthly (gross).
