Signing Bonus Amortiser
What is your signing bonus really worth?
Signing bonuses usually have clawback clauses. Enter the terms; we show the annualised value + what you owe back if you leave early.
How signing bonus clawbacks work in Nigeria
A signing bonus is upfront cash you receive when you accept an offer, usually with a condition: if you leave before N months, you refund some or all of it. Clawback windows in Nigeria are typically 12-36 months. Pro-rata means the refund shrinks each month you stay; all-or-nothing means one hard cutoff.
Amortising the signing bonus over the clawback window is the right way to think about its value. A NGN 3M signing with 24-month clawback = NGN 125k/month of extra comp as long as you stay the full window. Leave at 12 months in a pro-rata contract and you effectively "earned" only NGN 1.5M.
