Raw Material Store Head

Sunplast is a leading plastic manufacturing company in Nigeria with almost 30 years experience in the plastic manufacturing industry. Sun Group entered into the Plastics industry through the acquisition of a plant in Sango Ota, Ogun State in 1991. A second plant was installed and commissioned in 2000 in Lagos. In 2015 both plants were merged under one roof in Ogun State. The plants, which operate under the names Bright Products Limited and Sunplast Industries Limited, are equipped with top-of-the-line injection molding machines from China, India and Taiwan.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Raw Material Store Head

Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the raw material store, including the receipt, inspection, storage, issuance and documentation of raw materials.
• Ensure the timely supply of raw materials to the production department to prevent production delays.
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure proper inventory control.
• Monitor stock levels, reorder points and material consumption to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure proper identification, labelling, stacking and storage of raw materials.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO procedures where applicable and monitor material shelf life.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Quality Control, Accounts and Logistics teams for efficient store operations.
• Supervise store personnel and ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and operating procedures.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory and material movement reports.
• Minimise material losses, damages, contamination, wastage and pilferage.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure a safe and organised store environment.

Requirements

• OND, HND or BSc Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years’ relevant experience in raw material store, warehouse or inventory management within a manufacturing company.
• Experience in a plastic manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of raw material handling, inventory control, stock reconciliation and warehouse documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, accountability and attention to detail.
