Baker

Foodster Retail Limited - Behind every meal is a team that cares. Join us in making everyday food worth looking forward to, from the first batch in the kitchen to the last customer of the day.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Baker

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

About the Role

• You will bake Foodster's bread, cookies and pastries every day.
• We give you the recipe and show you how to do it — your job is to follow it carefully, keep the bakery clean, and make sure every batch looks and tastes the same.
• Early starts are part of the job.
• If you have baked before, that is a plus, but we will train the right person. Pay for this role varies by store location.

What You’ll Do

• Weigh and mix ingredients exactly as the recipe says
• Shape, proof and bake bread, cookies and pastries
• Check each batch for size, colour and taste before it leaves the bakery
• Pack and label products with the correct date
• Keep ovens, trays, mixers and work tables clean
• Tell your supervisor when ingredients are running low
• Record how much you baked and anything wasted

Requirements
What we’re looking for:

• Able to read simple recipes and use a weighing scale
• Can stand for long hours and lift bags of flour (up to 25kg)
• Ready to start early in the morning and work weekends
• Clean, careful and on time
• Baking experience is a plus, not required.
• Must be able to get a food handler's medical certificate
