Filter the benchmark

Combine role, location, seniority and industry. We merge platform-stated salaries with employee submissions. Minimum sample of 6 to publish, so slim slices are hidden.

How salary benchmarks work in Nigeria

Reliable Nigerian salary data is scarce because most companies don't publish pay bands. We solve that by merging two independent sources: salaries stated on job postings across our reconciled corpus, plus anonymous employee submissions from people who work at those companies. The merged view gives you a p25/median/p75 band per role, location or industry slice.

Everything is normalised to monthly NGN with FX applied for USD/GBP/EUR entries. We use a rolling 6-month window so stale data falls out, and we won't publish any slice with fewer than 6 data points to protect submitter anonymity.

Use the benchmark as a negotiation floor, not a ceiling. If your offer sits below p25 you have room to push up. If it's above p75 you're being paid at the top of the market for that slice - understand why so you can defend it in your next move.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the data come from?

Two sources merged: salaries stated on live job postings across every job board we ingest, and anonymous submissions from people who work at those companies. Both feed the same benchmark.

Why is my slice showing no data?

The slice doesn't have at least 6 data points - our minimum for publishing. Broaden a filter (drop the location, widen the seniority) to unlock it. Contributing an anonymous submission on the employer's page also helps.

How current is the data?

Rolling 6-month window. Postings and submissions older than 6 months fall out automatically, so the benchmark reflects current market rates - not what things paid two years ago.
